Post Natal Feeding Workshops
£25 for a 2 hour workshop
with feeding + lactation Consultant
+ peer support + cafe
At Bump to Cradle we know that some of that valuable information that you took on board during your antenatal classes has inevitably slipped through the cracks (don’t worry, baby brain is a scientific fact!), so we felt it was time to offer the kind of postnatal feeding support that could pick up where we left off - but this time, you can bring your baby along and not just your bump!
Book onto one of our Feeding Workshops run by Liz Brierley, our resident Bump to Cradle Feeding Expert, to receive further guidance and advice on breastfeeding technique and positioning, latching, feeding routines, formula and bottles, combination feeding and more.
Liz will aim to answer all of your questions and address your concerns (and no question is too daft to ask!) during the session, such as:
Is it normal for breastfeeding to hurt?
How do I know how long each feed should last?
How often should I feed my baby?
When is the best time to introduce bottle?
If I give my baby a bottle, will it then not want to breastfeed?
At BTC we know that there are many questions that arise as soon as you’ve had your baby and it can feel like a minefield of information online to sift through. So don’t. Instead, come and get then information from an expert Lactation Consultant with over 12 years of experience working within the field of paediatrics and infant nutrition + breastfeeding as well as being a mum herself.
Workshops will be held at John Lewis, Cribbs Causeway, The Discovery Room, 2nd Floor, and consist of a small group of fellow new mums, so that you can provide each other with some peer support, as well as the opportunity to receive some one-to-one assistance from Liz.
Coffee and cake is of course provided but it’s BYO baby!
Liz Brierley is our resident feeding expert, a Paediatric nurse and Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 12 years of experience working within the field of paediatrics and infant nutrition + breastfeeding. So there’s pretty much nothing that she can’t help you out with when it comes to feeding that little bundle. Come along to a workshop armed with questions big or small, or just for a little reassurance that all is well.
Come along to one of our workshops to meet other new mums in the same boat and add to your tribe of local new parents. This is a great opportunity to share your experiences, talk all things newborns and parenting and enjoy some coffee and cake into the bargain!
At Bump to Cradle we know only too well that those first few months of newborn life can feel relentless, and that a newborn’s feeding and sleeping patterns (or lack of!) can cause a lot of stress and exhaustion for new parents. And that is why it is so important to us to provide on-going support for our new mums. No matter how you’re choosing to feed your baby, there is support and guidance available for you here.
